Several Gq-coupled GPCRs and their ligands are important drivers of pulmonary fibrosis, including Gq-coupled proteinase-activated receptor 1 (PAR1), lysophosphatidic acid receptor 1, and endothelin receptor [40–43], which promote fibroblast proliferation and differentiation into an MFBs phenotype and promote the development of pulmonary fibrosis [43, 44]. Here, LPAR1 is linked to pulmonary fibrosis.
