The current clinical practice guideline for patients with established cardiomyopathy and heart failure includes pharmacotherapies with angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors, angiotensin receptor blockers, β-adrenergic blockers, combined angiotensin receptor and neprilysin inhibitors, mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists and sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 inhibitors [39, 40]. This evidence concerns the gene ACE and heart failure.
