As an important indicator of disease, the duration of disease reflects the duration of disease damage to individuals; importantly, we found that the duration of disease was longer in the depression (AG/AA) group, which indirectly reflects that adolescent depression patients with SIRT1 gene rs12415800 locus A allele may experience longer damage to the brain white matter microstructure than those not carrying A allele. Here, SIRT1 is linked to depressive disorder.
