Both male and female UBC-cre/ERT2; mir-7fl/fl mice exhibited obesity on chow diet (Fig. 1g, h) and high-fat diet (HFD) (Fig. 1i, j), demonstrating that the miR-7 family plays an important role in the regulation of body weight. This evidence concerns the gene MAPK3 and obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
