Using this approach, we previously identified a CAF-signalling pathway involving lysyl oxidase-like 2 (LOXL2), which crosslinks collagen, specific fibrillary collagens, and their cell surface receptor DDR2, as an important CAF-mediated signalling axis that contributes to prostate cancer progression and is a potential therapeutic target [9].
