Since 2020, based on the ADAURA trial, both, the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved adjuvant treatment with osimertinib for 3 years, a third-generation epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) for patients with completely resected stage IB–IIIA NSCLC harboring a sensitizing EGFR mutation. This evidence concerns the gene EGFR and non-small cell lung carcinoma.
