In an ovalbumin (OVA)-induced food allergy model causing acute diarrhea, the IgETRAP SAhigh (19.7 mol mol−1) significantly reduced the diarrhea occurrence and the serum levels of free IgE and Mast Cell Protease-1 (MCPT-1; a marker of mast cell degranulation), but the IgETRAP SAlow (7.7 mol mol−1) did not (Fig. 3a, b, and c).
