Therefore, we tested the relevance between the expression levels of CCR5 and immune infiltration in HNSC patients by TISIDB and TIMER platforms, determined whether the expression levels of CCR5 interrelated with immune infiltration level, and found that the upregulated CCR5 was significantly negatively interrelated with tumor purity (rho = − 0.279, P = 3.04e-10).
