The results revealed that PAS (Figure 8B) and Masson’s trichrome staining (Figure 8C) of renal tissue in AGE-treated Msn−/Y mice were much lighter than that in AGE-treated WT mice, accompanied by improvement of glomerular atrophy, indicating the effect of moesin phosphorylation in AGE-induced renal fibrosis. This evidence concerns the gene MSN and renal fibrosis.
