MTHFR and coronary artery disorder: Hence a hospital-based case–control study based on the Han Chinese population was performed to explore the association of multiple genetic variants of the MTHFR gene, maternal folic acid use, the time when folic acid use started, and their interactions with the occurrence of CHD in offspring, which will help to extend prevention, improve the primary prevention strategies involved risk genetic variations, and provide new loci which may help define the underlying mechanisms by which folate impacts on the CHD risk.
