UCA1 and preeclampsia: Cell-free UCA1 levels were measured in maternal serum from patients with preeclampsia using RT-qPCR to investigate whether UCA1 is the potential link between placenta stress and maternal injury, and the results showed that UCA1 expression was increased in patients with preeclampsia (Figure 5(a)) (20 normotensive pregnant women and 20 preeclamptic women; the clinical characteristics of the patients are listed in Table S2).
