NLRP3 and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease: The CSS contributes to the reducing serum LPS level, NLRP3 expression, liver steatosis, and reconstruction of the intestinal microflora in the HFD-fed rat model, all processes associated with the NLRP3 inflammasome pathway, suggesting that the inhibition of NLRP3 inflammasome activation is responsible for the treatment of NAFLD with CSS (Liang et al., 2018b).
