Mutations in IDH were first reported in colon cancers; however, several studies have now reported mutations in IDH1 and IDH2 in several cancers, including gliomas (Yan et al., 2009; Ward et al., 2010), intrahepatic acute myeloid leukemia (Abbas et al., 2010; Amatangelo et al., 2017), and chondrosarcoma (Amary et al., 2011; Borger et al., 2012; Damato et al., 2012). The gene discussed is IDH2; the disease is central nervous system cancer.
