In the present study, we found that the dense-disperse mode at 2/10 Hz in the CCI-induced neuropathic pain model used for EA stimulation also induced the release of endorphin and enkephalin and upregulated their receptors MOR and DOR, followed by the contents of dynorphin being not elevated by EA treatment under the low-frequency, which is similar with inflammatory pain. This evidence concerns the gene PDYN and neuropathic pain.
