Several clinical observational studies have found that the circulating VEGF level in colorectal cancer patients is significantly higher than that in healthy people, and its level is related to pathological stage, lymph node or distant metastasis, and overall survival rate (Fujisaki et al., 1998; Cubo et al., 2004; Kwon et al., 2010; Bendardaf et al., 2017). This evidence concerns the gene VEGFA and colorectal cancer.
