Observational experiments have shown that VEGF is overexpressed in most human tumors and is closely related to the growth, metastasis, pathological grade and poor prognosis of gallbladder carcinoma (Jiang et al., 2018; Xu et al., 2019), esophagogastric cancer (Gray et al., 2012), gastric cancer (Ohta et al., 2003), colorectal cancer (Fujisaki et al., 1998; Eldesoky et al., 2011), ovarian cancer (González-Palomares et al., 2017; Komatsu et al., 2017), breast cancer (Banys-Paluchowski et al., 2018), and uterine cervical cancer (Sawada et al., 2019). This evidence concerns the gene VEGFA and gastric cancer.
