The increased local IgE in nasal polyp tissue is correlated with increased Eosinophil cationic protein (ECP), IL-5, eosinophilic infiltration, and the presence of staphylococcal enterotoxin(SE)-IgE and asthma comorbidity (11, 12), implicating the role of IgE in the mediation of T2 inflammation.
