To investigate whether ACTL6A retained the stemness of HCC cells, silencing ACTL6A using two independent shRNAs led to a notable decrease in the stemness-related markers Nanog, SOX2, OCT4, and c-Myc, while the ectopic expression of ACTL6A increased the expression of these markers (Figures 4(f) and 4(g)). This evidence concerns the gene POU5F1 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
