In ZIKV, several studies carried out (Hamel et al., 2015; Bayer et al., 2016; Quicke et al., 2016; Chaudhary et al., 2017) using human cells assessed IFN responses and showed that ZIKV infection resulted in the generation of type I (α, β), type II (γ), and type III (λ) IFN accompanied by the activation of several IFN-stimulated genes (ISGs). This evidence concerns the gene IFNA1 and Zika virus infectious disease.
