Non-small cell lung cancers (NSCLC), about 4/5 cases of all lung cancers, have multiple mutations in the tyrosine kinase domain of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) gene; therefore, many tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) have been developed as chemo- and target therapeutic agents for the treatment of NSCLC [2–6]. The gene discussed is EGFR; the disease is lung carcinoma.
