Ramamurthy E. et al. carried out cell type-specific histone acetylation pattern analysis of AD patients and controls and observed differential acetylation peaks in the early onset risk genes (APP, PSEN1, PSEN2, and BACE1), and late onset genes (BIN1, PICALM, CLU, ADAM10, ADAMTS4, SORL1, and FERMT2) associated with the pathogenesis of AD (Marzi et al., 2018; Ramamurthy et al., 2020). This evidence concerns the gene ADAMTS4 and Alzheimer disease.
