PLA2G4A and cervical carcinoma: Vertical compression of the nucleus in human cervical cancer (HeLa-Kyoto) cells triggers unfolding of the inner nuclear membrane and the activation of cytosolic phospholipase A2 (cPLA2), which increases lipid arachidonic acid (ARA) production, Ca2+ release from internal stores, and myosin II activity (Lomakin et al., 2020; Venturini et al., 2020).
