Preoperative serum CA19-9, CA125 and CEA levels showed good efficacy in predicting the risk of IPMN malignancy when applied with classical cut-off values (37 U/ml for CA19-9, 35 U/ml for CA125 and 5.3 μg/L for CEA), showing specificities of 90.7%, 99.6% and 94.3%, respectively, but their sensitivities were 51.1%, 5.9% and 25.2%, respectively. The gene discussed is MUC16; the disease is pancreatic intraductal papillary-mucinous neoplasm.
