In 2019, Xu W et al. revealed that the methylation levels of B3GAT2, BCAR1, HOPX, HOXD11, MIR1203, MYL9, SLC9A3R2, SYT5, VTRNA1-3, and HLF between LC patients and healthy controls were significantly different, suggesting that these ten genes could serve as diagnostic biomarkers for LC [44]. This evidence concerns the gene MYL9 and laryngotracheoesophageal cleft.
