Koelsche et al. reported a group of predominantly pediatric intracranial spindle cell sarcomas to be called “spindle cell sarcoma with rhabdomyosarcoma-like features, DICER1 mutant (SCS-RMS like-DICER1).” In this study, the somatic DICER1 mutation was detected in three of five cases [7]. The gene discussed is DICER1; the disease is spindle cell sarcoma.
