Previous studies illustrated that inhibition of SOCS5 (Suppressor of cytokine signaling 5) could suppress HCC cell migration and invasion in vitro by activating PI3K-Akt-mTOR-mediated autophagy [23], while overexpressing IMPDH2 (Inosine 5’-monophosphate dehydrogenase 2) could facilitate cell invasion, migration and epithelial mesenchymal transformation (EMT) by regulating PI3K-AKT-mTOR pathway in colorectal cancer [24].
