In the multivariate analysis, the significant predictors of death within 90 days were the following: intrahepatic biliary obstruction (OR 5.69; 95% CI, 1.28–25.4; P=0.023), stage 4 cancer (OR 3.01; 95% CI, 1.81–5.02; P<0.001), pre-endoscopic serum albumin (OR 0.48; 95% CI, 0.32–0.74; P=0.001), TB improvement of more than 50% from baseline within 2 weeks after stenting (OR 0.57; 95% CI, 0.33–0.97; P=0.036), and chemotherapy after ERCP (OR 0.11; 95% CI, 0.04–0.31; P<0.001).
