These results indicated that the neuroprotection of GLE in an experimental model of PD was partially related to inhibition of microglia activation in vivo and vitro, possibly through downregulating the iNOS/NLRP3 pathway, inhibiting abnormal microglial autophagy and lysosomal degradation, which provides new evidence for Ganoderma lucidum in PD treatment. Here, NLRP3 is linked to Parkinson disease.
