The upregulation of SIRT1 expression at the genetic or protein level was significantly correlated with cellular oxidation, fibrosis, and apoptosis in sensitive and resistant cancer cells treated with curcumin at lower and higher proposed curcumin concentrations, as shown in Table 2, highlighting the crucial role of SIRT1 in the curcumin efficacy against fibrosis and growth of resistant cancer cells.
