Sixteen weeks of vitamin D supplementation significantly inhibited HF-increased NF-κB phosphorylation in eWAT from HF-fed obese mice, accompanied by alterations in CLS number, mRNA levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines, such as TNFα and IL-6, NLRP3-related compartments, ASC-1, CASP1, and IL-1β, and circulating IL-1β and TNFα levels. This evidence concerns the gene NFKB1 and hydrops fetalis.
