In the case of ceruloplasmin, which was always present in vesicles associated with obesity in the present work and in our previous analysis with human obese AT explants and murine obesity cell models [7,9], we found that it was significantly elevated in obese BAT EVs as compared with lean BAT EVs; however, the levels were similar to the vesicles secreted by the control and obese VAT vesicles; the lean and obese SAT vesicles showed the highest levels of ceruloplasmin with no differences among them (Figure S3E). The gene discussed is CP; the disease is obesity disorder.
