In kidneys, IL-10 is secreted primarily by mesangial and endothelial cells [5], and several studies have reported that elevated IL-10 expression is associated with various kidney diseases, such as mesangioproliferative glomerulonephritis, IgA nephropathy, and diabetic nephropathy [19,20,21]. This evidence concerns the gene IL10 and IgA glomerulonephritis.
