To test the impact of DNA hypomethylation on NHLRC1 transcription, we treated A549 and H1299 lung cancer cell lines and BEAS 2B normal lung cells with different concentrations of 5-Aza-2′-deoxycytidine (DAC), an approved epigenetic drug that leads to a global loss of DNA methylation through inhibition of DNA methyltransferases [19,20]. This evidence concerns the gene NHLRC1 and lung carcinoma.
