The causes of renal failure in patients with anti-EPOR antibodies were diabetic kidney disease in eight cases (47%), nephrosclerosis in two (11.8%), chronic glomerulonephritis in three (17.6%), polycystic kidney disease in one (5.9%), gouty kidney in one (5.9%), Alport syndrome in one (5.9%), and unknown in one (5.9%). This evidence concerns the gene EPOR and polycystic kidney disease.
