Fluorescent in situ hybridization (FISH) analysis revealed that Linc00922 is mainly localized in the nucleus of MCF-7 breast cancer cells where it acts as an oncogene recruiting three different DNMTS; DNMT1, DNMT3A, and DNMT3B in the promoter region of NKD inhibitor of Wnt signaling pathway 2 (NKD2), thus epigenetically regulating NKD2 expression. Here, NKD2 is linked to breast carcinoma.
