According to the Cox regression univariate analysis, BRAFV600E mutations, histology (adenocarcinoma vs. mucinous), the detection of microbial DNA encoding for glutamine synthase of B. fragilis, and the detection of ApaI mutant alleles of the VDR gene are significantly associated with a shorter disease-free survival (DFS); and the detection of microbial DNA encoding for 5.8S rRNA is significantly associated with shorter overall survival (OS) (Table 6). This evidence concerns the gene GLUL and adenocarcinoma.
