Intravenously transplanted HGF-DPSCs in a rat model of ulcerative colitis could alleviate intestinal mucosa injuries via trans differentiation into intestinal stem cell-like cells, promotion of intestinal stem-cell like cell proliferation, reduction of oxidative stress, and suppression of inflammatory responses, suggesting its potential for clinical treatment of ulcerative colitis [173]. The gene discussed is HGF; the disease is ulcerative colitis.
