Independent predictors of treatment failure in the overall cohort included metastatic solid cancer (aOR = 3.484, 95% CI 1.649–7.361), HIV infection with CD4 count < 200 cells/mm3 (aOR = 7.359, 95% CI 1.277–42.404), qSOFA score of ≥ 2 (aOR = 2.162, 95% CI 1.217–3.843), CCI score of ≥ 7 (aOR = 2.064, 95% CI 1.056–4.034), polymicrobial GN-BSI (aOR = 2.782, 95% CI 1.091–7.095), multidrug-resistant pathogen (aOR = 2.421, 95% CI 1.362–4.305), and respiratory tract infection (aOR = 3.932, 95% CI 1.761–8.782) (S3 Table).
