Taking into consideration the significant role of these molecules (i.e., TGF-β1, VEGF-R2, TIMP-2) in fibrogenesis, we assessed the serum levels of the forementioned molecules in breast cancer patients (n = 67) who developed various complications of BC treatment in the long-term follow-up period (>12 months). This evidence concerns the gene TGFB1 and breast cancer.
