Interestingly, the infection of chickens with C. jejuni significantly upregulated (P < 0.05) the expression of the IL-10 (2.7 fold), IL-17A (2.9 fold), IL-1β (1.9 fold), IFN-γ (1.5 fold), and CXCLI1 (1.8 fold) genes compared to NC group (Table 1).
