PLBD1 and mastitis: A previous study showed that ATP2B2 is associated with milk production traits and mastitis (Ogorevc et al., 2009), and the most significant SNP (BTA22:55263235, p-value = 2.37E-18) in the GWAS of TD7 FP is located in the intronic region of ATP2B2. PLBD1 is an important candidate gene for fatty acid composition in milk (Atashi et al., 2020).
