Considering what we have found in our analysis on the correlation between CLRs and immune-checkpoint molecules – high levels of expression of CLRs are significantly associated with PD-L1 expression – we may speculate that the synergy effect between CLRs and TLRs may serve as an indirect pathway to induce the upregulation of PD-L1 in bladder cancer. This evidence concerns the gene LARS1 and urinary bladder carcinoma.
