With regards to laboratory data other than haemoglobin, patients with anaemia had a lower platelet count (167.6 ± 99.8 vs 206.6 ± 80.7 103/μL), serum levels of albumin (3.0 ± 0.7 vs 3.7 ± 0.7 mg/dL), and a higher serum levels of creatinine (2.0 ± 2.1 vs 1.0 ± 0.9 mg/dL) compared with those without anaemia. This evidence concerns the gene ALB and anemia.
