Previous studies have suggested that miR-378 directly targets genes, including osteoblast NPNT (Kahai et al., 2009), Forkhead box G1 (FOXG1) in lung cancer (Ji et al., 2018), and bone morphogenetic protein 2 (BMP2) in C2C12 cell lines (Yang, Luo & Wang, 2019).
