Finally, we observed that myeloid depletion of Jmjd3 in diabetes results in increased production of the anti-inflammatory cytokine IL10 (Supplementary Fig. 8A), which results in elevated levels of reparative, anti-inflammatory Ly6CLo CD11b+ Mφs critical for tissue repair (Supplementary Fig. 8B, analyzed by flow cytometry as previously described by our laboratory [4]). This evidence concerns the gene KDM6B and diabetes mellitus.
