Compared to the non-metastasis group, the metastasis group had significantly larger tumor diameters on average, higher levels in histological grade and T stage, greater likelihood of being unmarried at diagnosis and regional lymph node metastasis, with a higher proportion of elevated AFP levels but a lower degree of liver fibrosis score, and with no significant differences in race, sex and age at diagnosis between groups. This evidence concerns the gene AFP and neoplasm.
