The phase 2 trial of lebrikizumab (a specific anti‐IL‐13 blocker) reported, in a population with less severe AD than was included in dupilumab studies, a low incidence of conjunctivitis (9.6% vs. 7.5% for placebo),26 leading the authors to hypothesise that a combination of IL‐4 and IL‐13 inhibition may be necessary for the development of dupilumab‐associated conjunctivitis.27 Here, IL13 is linked to Alzheimer disease.
