The distribution of cTnI showed that DM patients had a great proportion of cTnI > 0.04 ng/ml and cTnI > 0.78 ng/ml, which indicated acute myocardial infarction possible (all p < 0.01 with χ2 test) (Fig. 2). The gene discussed is TNNI3; the disease is acute myocardial infarction.
