Moreover, early lethality caused by albumin promoter-driven Cre-recombinase–induced global hepatic Ctnnb1 exon 3 deletion and consequent β-catenin activation preclude us from faithfully recapitulating HB, a mosaic β-catenin mutation-associated liver cancer usually seen in infants and young children under age 3, in the mice we generated.
