Based on the TCGA bladder cancer cohort, the mRNA levels of 14 out of the 33 PRGs were either increased (GSDMB, GSDMD, NLRP7, NLRP2, CASP3, CASP6, CASP8, PYCARD, CASP5, and AIM2) or decreased (NLRP1, ELANE, NLRP3, and IL6) in bladder cancer versus bladder tissues (Figure 1A, all p < 0.05). Here, CASP5 is linked to urinary bladder carcinoma.
