A total of 21 m6A regulators were common and could be detected in the genome-wide expression dataset, including METTL3, METTL14, WTAP, KIAA1429, RBM15/15B, ZC3H13, CBLL1, FTO, ALKBH5, YTHDC1/2, YTHDF1/2/3, IGF2BP1/2/3, HNRNPC, HNRNPA2B1, and EIF3H separately, which hence were extracted and formed an expression matrix to compare their levels between the healthy controls and NAFLD samples. This evidence concerns the gene YTHDC1 and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
