A total of 21 m6A regulators were common and could be detected in the genome-wide expression dataset, including METTL3, METTL14, WTAP, KIAA1429, RBM15/15B, ZC3H13, CBLL1, FTO, ALKBH5, YTHDC1/2, YTHDF1/2/3, IGF2BP1/2/3, HNRNPC, HNRNPA2B1, and EIF3H separately, which hence were extracted and formed an expression matrix to compare their levels between the healthy controls and NAFLD samples. Here, WTAP is linked to metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
